32) Website News: New Feature for Events Pages: Driving Directions (Article Published: 29th November 2007 at 18:08 pm)

I have added a new feature into the events system so that you can obtain driving directions from your address to the club the event is being held at. It is recomended that you use Lat & Lon co-ordinates for your home address, use the clubs map page to obtain these. It does know some street addresses for example my works address Giles Lane, Canterbury, Kent works fine but not all work. As the sun rose into a duck-egg blue winter sky, the six local sailors broke the ice off their boats and discussed the benefits of batten tension, rudder alignment and skeg condition, as they prepared to do battle in the 4th Draycote Sprint 15 Winter TT meeting on the 12th January. Change of Sprint 15 Association Secretary We would like to welcome Keith Bartlett as our new Sprint 15 Association Secretary and to thank our out going Secretary, Andy Chidwick. Andy has been secretary for two and a half years and has done an excellent job. He has a young family and a busy career and he expressed a desire to stand down when we could find a suitable replacement at our last AGM. Well, we have now found a willing volunteer in Keith, so we would like to express our thanks to Andy for a job well done. Sprint 15 Association Encourages Youth Sailing The Sprint 15 Association have decided to encourage young catamaran sailors to take part in the both the Class National Championships by offering completely free entry to Association members who are under 23 and are in full time education. This represents a combined saving of £115 for a young member who takes part in both events and pre-enters by the required dates. more..

However it is often only at their funeral that we hear about the other parts, and discover that the little we knew is part of a much bigger picture, which deserves even greater admiration and respect. 40) Event News: Summer Traveller Series Teach-in at Stewartby Water Sports Club - EVENT RESCHEDULED

The Southern Sprint 15 training course has had to be rearranged. It turns out that the weekend of 26/27 April has been double booked at Stewartby Water Sports Club and the power boats & water skiing section has claimed the use of the lake. We consequently have to reorganise the Southern Training. Our friends at Seasalter Sailing Club have come to our rescue, so we will be holding the Southern training at Seasalter on the weekend of 21/22 June. We originally hoped to keep the same weekend but sadly the tides were not favourable. We apologise for the disruption that this has caused but please change your diaries accordingly.
